L G Plumbing - Terms & Conditions.

All estimates are provided free of charge and with no obligation to proceed. Verbal estimates are strictly subject to survey. All estimates will be based on the information made available at the time and could be subject to change under certain circustances.

As a general policy, L G Plumbing does not carry out surveys or any form of work in occupied residential premises unless there is an adult, that is a person over the age of 18, present at the property, preferably the home owner. In cases where it is genuinely impossible for an adult to be present, exceptions can be made but arrangements would need to be discussed and agreed in advance.

Whilst every care will be taken, should existing sanitary wear or furniture need to be removed and later reinstated, LG Plumbing cannot be held responsible for any unavoidable damage which might occur.

Powerflushing to remove debris from a central heating system can, on rare occasions, expose previously undetectable faults, weak points or breaches. L G Plumbing cannot be held responsible for any such pre-existing conditions which might be revealed, or for any resulting damage which might occur.

All work is guaranteed against failure for 1 year from the completion date, this excludes issues resulting from normal wear and tear. In the rare event of a problem, the customer will be offered an appointment within 5 working days. A written guarantee will not be required, all records of work carried out and materials purchased are retained for 6 years.

Payment Terms

For extensive work, a deposit of up to 20% may, in some cases, be required prior to commencement.

Payment terms to domestic customers are strictly 10 working days from completion of work. Alternative arrangements can be made, but they must be agreed prior to work commencing.

Payment terms to commercial customers are strictly 30 days net. Failure to settle outstanding accounts could lead to the account being placed on stop. L G Plumbing will not accept a third party failing to pay as a reason for non-payment of outstanding accounts. Unless the work in dispute has been carried out by L G Plumbing, all contractors are responsible for dealing with any issues their clients might have and they will remain liable for the amount owed to L G Plumbing, regardless of whether their client pays them.

In all cases, any materials, furniture, fixtures and fittings used will remain the property of L G Plumbing until the account is settled in full. Failure to pay an outstanding account can result in legal action and the possible removal of installed items.
